If I could spend the rest of my life doing two things in design, it would be packaging and branding! I am also currently exploring UX/UI and would love to get more involved. No matter where I am, or what I am doing, I am always excited to create and design! I am currently a senior at California State University, Northridge, expected to graduate in Spring 2016 with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art (with a focus in graphic design). Just a little about myself, I have always loved art since I can remember; but was always discouraged in pursuing a career as an artist or designer. While at LA Mission college, I was the vice president of the LGBTS Club and even designed logos for their apparel. While at Northridge, I decided to make my way back to art after trying out other majors. Since getting back to graphic design, I have gotten myself immersed and involved in designing as much as I could. When it was time to transfer, I immediately joined Student Advertising Graphic Association (SAGA). For my last semester and last attempt to make a difference in my graphic design community, I took up the position of Vice President of the association.Time and organization is definitely key! In SAGA, we collaborate as a team to bring events such as: studio tours, guest speakers, workshops, parties, and portfolio reviews. I am currently a Core Designer at the VISCOM Center located at CSUN. There I have lead and managed teams of designers to successfully present to clients. I also took the responsibility of creating, uploading, and updating content for the VISCOM Center’s social media. What I loved about all my experiences is that I have always been able to challenge myself. I have learned a lot and grown both as a person and as a designer.
